| I am selling my beautiful 1968 280SL. It is an automatic
with both tops. I bought it in 2001 from second owner
who restored it in 1996. Taken down to bare metal and
repainted original code 576 red. All rust removed and
metal brazed in. Engine rebuild by Metric Motors of Cal.
New brakes, tie rod assembly, transmission gaskets, fuel
injector pump rebuild and other mechanicals. New pads
and black seat covers. I detailed to show condition with
new dash wood, heater levers, stainless steel exhaust
and new tires. Comes with hardtop carrier and cover, custom
flannel cover, original tool bag, owners manual and records.
Runs strong. Everything works including original Becker
radio and clock. Needs nothing. I am selling because wife
wants her garage back and at 75, I don't drive it much.
