A Great Day in North Park
Sunday October 6, 2002 was a beautiful sunny day and Pittsburgh Section made the most of it with
a great showing of old & new Mercedes-Benz models. Max's Allegheny tavern provided traditional
German fare for our meal and appropriate beverages quenched our thirst as we enjoyed the array
of beautiful cars. Rahal Motorcars assisted with sponsorship and provided a new E class &
the first C 4-Matic sedan for test-drives. We appreciate their support.
We again held a Participants Choice in four categories. Award winners are listed below.
The Steelers failed to top off the day with victory, but the members still enjoyed a great day.
It was especially nice to see some new faces and several special cars we had not seen before.
The only down side of this annual event is it is usually the last time we see the cars until
spring. This event left us all looking forward to next year.
