Pittsburgh Vintage Grad Prix Concours d' Elegance and
Performance Driving School, July 20 and 21, 2002

Our Pittsburgh Section continues to expose the Best Kept Secret in Pittsburgh,
"The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix".

The weather was the best in recent memory for the July 20th Car Show in Schenley Park. Eighty-two Mercedes-Benz vehicles of all ages made 2002 another successful year for our annual charity event. This year's event attracted MBCA members from Virginia, Kansas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York and New Jersey. About 2/3 of the Mercedes-Benz registrants have been to the PVGP and/or StarTrack in the past. We hope to keep building on this to make Mercedes-Benz the pivotal point of the PVGP.

We thank our three area Mercedes-Benz centers, Bobby Rahal Motorcars, Bud Smail Motorcars and John Sisson Motors for sponsoring our catered lunch in the park for some 150 member/guests. Please also thank them in person for us.

In preparation for StarTrack 2003 we added three days of track time at BeaveRun MotorSports complex. The 80 plus cars on display ranged from the above to daily drivers with 50 miles to 300 plus thousand miles. Spectators are always at awe with the condition of our cars, especially the original, driven on the street, cars like Mal and Angela Levy's 1987 560SL Roadster. This show has a place for every Mercedes-Benz in the club. Please share your Mercedes-Benz and its stories with us and help our Charities at the same time.

Mark you calendar for the Third Weekend in July 2003 and every Third Weekend in July.
